Cut this morning. On your pass tonight.
Hydroponic lettuce, greens and herbs grown twelve months a year in Caledonia, Michigan — and harvested the day they leave for your kitchen.
Climate-controlled greenhouses mean January greens are the same as July greens.
We harvest against your order. Nothing sits in a distribution centre losing life.
Short runs, cold chain intact, produce that still looks alive on arrival.
Recirculating hydroponics use a fraction of the water field growing needs.
What we do
Produce grown for people who cook for a living
We are a hydroponic greenhouse operation in Gaines Township, fifteen minutes south of Grand Rapids. Everything we grow goes to West Michigan restaurants, chefs and wholesale buyers.
Growing indoors and without soil lets us do two things a field cannot. We can keep cutting through a Michigan February, and we can keep pesticide use down to a fraction of conventional production, because the pests that plague open ground never get in.
- Hydroponic, recirculating, and heavily reduced pesticide use
- Harvested to order — usually the same day it reaches you
- Consistent quality and volume across all four seasons
- Direct from our greenhouse, with no distributor in between
For chefs
Order what you need, the week you need it
Menus change. So does what we cut. Tell us what you are planning and we will grow into it, rather than asking you to work around a catalogue.
Most of our kitchens run a standing weekly order with room to flex for specials and events. If you want a variety we are not currently growing, ask — lead time on most greens is a matter of weeks, not seasons.
- Standing weekly orders with room to adjust
- Specific varieties grown to request where we can
- Straight answers on what is genuinely good this week
Who we supply
On menus across West Michigan
Restaurants, hotel kitchens, caterers and specialty grocers from Grand Rapids to the lakeshore.
Lettuce ordering, online
We are building a simple online ordering app for standing lettuce and greens orders — set your weekly quantities once, adjust them when a special calls for it, and skip the back-and-forth entirely.
Common questions
Before you get in touch
Do you sell to the public or only to restaurants?
We work primarily with restaurants, chefs and wholesale buyers across West Michigan. If you are a smaller operation or a specialty grocer, ask anyway — we would rather have the conversation than turn you away by default.
Is your produce really available in winter?
Yes. Greens and herbs grow hydroponically in climate-controlled greenhouses, so lettuce, spinach and basil are available all twelve months regardless of what Michigan is doing outside.
How fresh is it when it arrives?
We harvest to order rather than to a schedule. Most deliveries reach the kitchen the same day they are cut, which is the main reason our greens hold through service far better than distributor product.
