Privacy policy

Vertical Paradise Farms, LLC operates this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to answer your enquiry, and we do not sell, rent or share it.

What we collect

The only personal information this site collects is what you type into the contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your business name and phone number, together with your message.

Our web host also keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. These are generated automatically by the hosting platform, used for security and troubleshooting, and are not combined with contact form submissions to build a profile of you.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, and to keep a record of the conversation if you become a customer. That is the whole purpose. We do not add contact form submissions to a marketing list.

Who we share it with

Nobody, other than the service providers who make the site work:

Google Workspace — our email is hosted by Google, so your message arrives in and is stored in a Google mailbox.
Cloudflare — the anti-spam check on the contact form is Cloudflare Turnstile, which sees your IP address in order to judge whether you are a person or a bot.
Google Maps — the map on our contact page is embedded from Google, which means Google can see that your browser loaded it.
Google Fonts — typefaces are served from Google's font CDN.
Our web host — who stores the site and its logs.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we never have.

How long we keep it

Contact form emails stay in our mailbox for as long as the business relationship or enquiry is live, and are deleted when they are no longer useful. Server logs rotate on our host's schedule, typically within a few months.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email and we will action it. There is no charge and we will not ask you to justify the request.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

This site does not track you across other websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. We honour them by default by not doing the thing in the first place.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie, and only when you open the contact page:

PHPSESSID — a session cookie that lets the contact form verify your submission came from our own form rather than from a spam script. It contains a random identifier, holds no personal information, and is deleted when you close your browser.

Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie of its own as part of the bot check on the contact page.

We run no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no cross-site tracking of any kind. Strictly necessary cookies like the two above do not require consent under any privacy law we are aware of, which is why you are not being interrupted by a cookie banner. If we ever add analytics or advertising, this section and the site will change accordingly.

Terms of use

By using this website you agree to these terms, to all applicable laws and regulations, and you accept responsibility for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Use licence

Permission is granted to temporarily view and download one copy of the materials on this site for personal, non-commercial use only. This is a licence, not a transfer of title, and under it you may not:
1. modify or copy the materials;
2. use the materials for any commercial purpose or public display;
3. attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software on this site;
4. remove any copyright or proprietary notices; or
5. transfer the materials to another person or mirror them on another server.
This licence terminates automatically if you violate any of these restrictions, and may be terminated by Vertical Paradise Farms, LLC at any time.

2. Disclaimer

The materials on this site are provided “as is”. Vertical Paradise Farms, LLC makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and disclaims all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the material on this site is accurate, complete or current, and product availability in particular changes constantly — always confirm with us directly before relying on it.

3. Limitations

In no event shall Vertical Paradise Farms, LLC or its suppliers be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on this site, even if we have been notified of the possibility of such damage. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or of liability for consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

4. Revisions

Materials on this site may include technical, typographical or photographic errors. We may change the content at any time without notice, and we make no commitment to keep it updated.

5. Links

We have not reviewed every site linked from here and are not responsible for the contents of any linked site. A link does not imply endorsement. Use of any linked site is at your own risk.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that state.

Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification or voice control.

Standard we aim for

This website is designed and built to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act and by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

What we have done

Every text and interface colour combination has been measured against the WCAG contrast thresholds — 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text, control borders and chart marks.
The whole site is operable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element and a skip link to bypass the navigation.
Information is never conveyed by colour alone. The availability calendar, for example, distinguishes its three states by pattern as well as colour, and each cell carries a text description for screen readers.
All images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
Form fields have visible, permanently associated labels; errors are described in text and linked to the field they belong to.
Headings follow a logical order and page regions are marked up as landmarks.
Content reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide, and remains usable at 200% zoom.
Animation is suppressed for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
The site works in Windows High Contrast mode.

Known limitations

The embedded Google Map on our contact page is a third-party component and we do not control its accessibility. If it does not work for you, the full address is written out in text directly beneath it, and the “Directions in Google Maps” button opens the same location in whatever mapping application you prefer.

Tell us if something does not work

If any part of this site is a barrier for you, we want to hear about it and we will fix it. Email or use the contact form, and tell us which page and what went wrong. We aim to respond within five business days, and we will give you the information you were after by another route in the meantime.
